Deze body scrub van The Body Shop zat in de Deauty-box van juli. Ik had nog geen enkele scrub van de The Body Shop geprobeerd omdat ik een vrij gevoelige huid heb. Ik was dan ook enorm enthousiast om deze te testen!

Op de achterzijde staat vermeld dat het product niet geschikt is voor consumptie. Logisch toch? De vermelding van het woordje 'suiker' in combinatie met de heerlijke geur klinkt anders wel lekker!

Het is een milde lichaamsscrub op basis van zout, suiker en sheaboter (ook wel karitéboter genoemd). Het doel is om dode huidcellen te verwijderen en de huid zacht en schoon te maken. De grootte van de korrel is echt aangenaam. De korrels zijn niet te groot en te ruw, maar ook niet te klein. Het zijn fijne korrels die goed hun werk verrichten, zonder aan te voelen als schuurpapier. Je brengt de scrub aan op een vochtige huid en dan ga je dode huidcellen verwijderen door de huid te masseren. En dat doet hij prima! Wat ik ook erg aangenaam vind, is de sheaboter in deze scrub. Na het scrubben heb ik geen aparte verzorgingsproducten meer nodig, omdat deze boter de huid al verzorgt. Het resultaat is een zijdezachte huid, die bovendien nog eens gehydrateerd aanvoelt.

Ik ben fan! Waarom? De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is goed. Hij verwijdert dode huidcellen en zorgt voor een zachte, gehydrateerde huid. Hij werkt prima voor personen met een gevoelige huid, doordat hij fijne korrels en verzorgende ingrediënten bevat. Tot slot ruikt hij nog eens heerlijk ook!
