Review: oogschaduw van Catrice / Catrice eyeshadow

Catrice is geen onbekend merk en vooral erg geliefd onder de budgetmerken. Ik heb zelf al heel wat producten van dit merk getest en vandaag wil ik enkele producten uit de oogschaduw-collectie bespreken.

Catrice is a well know brand and especially very popular among the budget brands. I've tested a lot of products of this brand and today I want to discuss some products from the eyeshadow collection.

De Deauty-box van juni maakte heel wat personen gelukkig met dit Absolute Nude oogschaduwpaletje van Catrice. Ook ik was hier erg blij mee. Oké als je de merken op hun site bekijkt verwacht je inderdaad niet meteen iets van Catrice in jouw box, maar dit betekent niet dat Catrice een slecht merk is. Maar goed, nu even over de verpakking. Het paletje zit in een plastic doosje met een doorschijnende bovenkant. In het doosje zit ook een applicator met aan de ene kant een sponsje en aan de andere kant een borsteltje. Ik ben hier zelf geen fan van, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat dit voor andere personen wel werkt. Op de achterzijde staat de kleur 010 All Nude vermeld. Dit is momenteel het enige paletje dus misschien een beetje overbodig, al is het natuurlijk wel leuk dat ze toch de moeite nemen om het een naam te geven. Verder staat er "Zes trendy langhoudende nude tinten die bij elke persoon en elke gelegenheid passen." Bovendien worden er tips vermeld voor een leuke ooglook en hoe je gemakkelijk van dag- naar avond make-up kan omschakelen.

Myself included. Ok, if you look at the brands on their site you don't expect Catrice in your box, but this doesn't mean that Catrice is bad. Anyway, the packaging: the pallet is a plastic box with a translucent top. There's also an applicator included with a sponge at one end and a brush on the other. I'm not a fan of these, but I can imagine that they work fine for other people. The pallet is called 010 All Nude. This is currently the only pallet so maybe it's a bit redundant, though it's nice that they still bother to give it a name. Furthermore, it states: "Six trendy long-lasting nude shades to suit every person and every occasion." In addition, tips are listed for a fun eye look and how you can switch between day-evening makeup.

Het paletje bestaat uit zes tinten. Van links naar rechts: een glanzend beige, een shimmery zandkleur, een shimmery chocoladebruin, een glanzende goudbruine kleur, een donkere taupe en een glanzende warme bruintint. De pigmentatie is niet van elke kleur even goed. De swatches zijn gemaakt zonder basis, dus met basis komen de kleuren zeker feller door. Ik vind het in elk geval leuke kleurtjes voor elke dag. Je kan dit paletje kopen in Kruidvat en je betaalt 4,99 euro voor 6 gram. Even omgerekend betekent dit 1 gram per kleurtje voor 0,83 euro. Zeer budgetproof!

This means 1 gram per color for 0.83 euros . Very budgetproof!



Verder heeft Catrice ook een groot aantal aparte oogschaduwkleurtjes: de Absolute Eye Colour Mono. Deze zitten in een volledig doorschijnende verpakking. Het oog wil ook wat en ik ben alvast tevreden! Ook zie je erg snel welke kleur er in het doosje zit, wat lang zoekwerk kan besparen.
Furthermore, Catrice has a large number of separate eyeshadow colors: the Absolute Eye Colour Mono. These come in a completely translucent packaging. I'm already satisfied! You can see the colour through the packaging, which saves you a lot of time searching for the right color.

Ik heb momenteel twee kleurtjes in mijn stash. Links zie je 640 Don't Touch My Mosserati! Wat hou ik toch van de leuke namen die Catrice altijd bedenkt! Jammer genoeg geeft de foto geen realistisch beeld van deze prachtige kleur. Het is een mosgroene kleur met erg veel groene en gouden shimmer. Rechts zie je 190 Petrol Keeps Me Running. Dit is een donker turquoise met blauwe shimmer. Ik ben niet zeker of deze laatste nog in het vaste assortiment zit. Ik vermeld hem toch omdat je hem in sommige Kruidvat-filialen nog kan vinden.

Deze swatches zijn ook zonder basis gemaakt. De pigmentatie zit oké, al hebben beide kleurtjes wel wat opbouw nodig om volledig tot hun recht te komen. Ook deze zijn budgetvriendelijk: 2 gram oogschaduw voor 2,89 euro. Niet slecht! Bovendien heb je een vrij groot assortiment aan kleurtjes zodat iedereen wel iets leuk vindt.
