Avril oogschaduw / Avril eyeshadow + giveaway reminder (nl-eng)

In de Deauty-box van deze maand zat er een oogschaduwduo van Avril, een merk waar ik tot op heden altijd tevreden over ben geweest. Ik had in de unboxing post al vermeld dat ik deze keer iets minder tevreden ben over Avril en daarover wil ik jullie vandaag iets meer vertellen. 

The Deauty-box of this month contained an eyeshadowduo from Avril, a brand I was always happy about until now. I've mentioned in my unboxing article that I was less pleased with this eyeshadow and today I'll tell you why.

Wat belooft de oogschaduw van Avril? Hij belooft lang te blijven zitten in combinatie met een sterke kleurintensiteit. Daarnaast bevat hij geen parabenen en heeft hij een aangename en zachte textuur.

What does the eyeshadow promise? It promises to be longlasting in combination with a strong color intensity. On top it doesn't contain parabens and it has a soft texture.

Ik kreeg de kleur Prune-Lilas en naast deze kleur is er nog 1 andere duo-versie met blauwe tinten. De oogschaduw zelf ziet er werkelijk prachtig uit met de bloemetjes!

I got the color Prune-Lilas and besides this color there is 1 other duo-version with blue shades. The eyeshadow itself is absolutely gorgeous with those flowers!

Jammer genoeg zien de swatches er wat minder prachtig uit. Normaal maak ik mijn swatches zonder basis met 1 veegje, maar dat was hier niet mogelijk. Op deze foto zie je 4 vegen zonder basis en jammer genoeg vind ik het persoonlijk nog altijd tegenvallen. Ok, voor een prijs van 2,30 euro moet je misschien niet al te veel verwachten, maar Essence en Catrice vallen in diezelfde prijsklasse en hebben een betere pigmentatie. Ik zal dus niet snel een oogschaduw van Avril aanschaffen. Heb jij wel interesse? Dan kan je hem hier kopen: link.

Too bad the swatches look less gorgeous. Normally my swatches are made without base and 1 swipe, but that wasn't possible with this eyeshadow. On the picture you see 4 swipes without base and it still doesn't look very good. Ok, you don't expect much for a price of 2,30 euro, but Essence and Catrice eyeshadows have an equal price but with better pigmentation. I won't buy an Avril eyeshadow soon I guess.
