It has been a while, but I've tested another 7-day-programme this week. The Body Shop has some skincare kits with different products from one line. The ideal way to see if you like the products.

Seaweed - Deep cleansing facial wash
Het eerste product is de deep cleansing facial wash. Dit is een milde, vetvrije en zeeploze reinigingsgel die belooft overtollig vet, dagelijkse vervuiling en make-up grondig te verwijderen. Je masseert de gel zowel 's morgens als 's avonds in met je vingertoppen en nadien spoel je hem gewoon af. De reinigingsgel bevat allerlei goede ingrediënten, zoals blaasjeswierextract, Iers mos, menthol, citroenzuur en vitamine E. Jammer genoeg bevat hij ook parabenen.
The first product is the deep cleansing facial wash. This is a mild, oil-free and soap-free cleansing gel that promises to remove excess oil, daily pollution and make-up. You use this in the morning and in the evening by massaging it in with your fingertips and rinsing it off afterwards. The cleansing gel contains a lot of good ingrediënts, like seaweed, Irish moss, menthol, citric acid and vitamin E. It also contains parabens though.
Het product zelf is een lichtgroene gel in een handig flesje. Ik vond hem enorm aangenaam in gebruik en voornamelijk de geur is erg lekker! Hoewel hij niet perfect is voor waterproof make-up, zorgt hij wel voor de grondige reiniging zoals beloofd. Ik gebruik niet zo vaak dergelijke face wash producten, omdat ik gewoon meer van micellaire reinigers hou. Toch is deze wel een erg goede kanshebber op een rebuy. Dit flesje bevat 60ml. De full size zit in een tube van 100ml en kost 12 euro.
The product itself is a light green gel in a handy bottle. I really likes using it and I mostly enjoyed the smell! It doesn't work perfectly for waterproof make-up, but it does the promised cleansing. I don't use these face wash products often, because I prefer micellar cleansers. I still think this could be a rebuy though. This bottle contains 60ml. The full size comes in a tube of 100ml and costs 12 euro.
Seaweed - Clarifying toner
Na de face wash gebruik je de clarifying toner. Deze verfrissende tonic verwijdert de laatste restjes vuil en sluit tegelijkertijd de poriën. Bovendien matteert hij de huid terwijl het de huid voorbereid op de opname van vochtregulerende producten. Ook hierin zitten allerlei goede ingrediënten: zeewierextract, glycerine, blaasjeswierextract, komkommerextract en vitamine E. Hij bevat eveneens parabenen, maar toch zitten er overduidelijk meer verzorgende bestanddelen in.
After the face wash, you use the clarifying toner. This refreshing toner removes the last traces of dirt and closes the pores. On top it mattifies the skin while preparing it for the use of hydrating products. The tones also consists out of good ingrediënts like seaweed, glyceryn, cucumber and vitamin E. It also contains parabens, but there are a lot more good ingredients in it.
De tonic zit in hetzelfde flesje als de facial wash, maar dit keer is het een transparant watertje. Ook deze ruikt erg lekker en reinigt zoals beloofd. Na gebruik voelde ik mijn huid ook een beetje tintelen. Ik vind dit best aangenaam, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat niet iedereen dit kan appreciëren. Als je een enorm gevoelige huid hebt, denk ik dat je deze misschien best kan overslaan. Voor mij is het wél een mogelijke rebuy, al kies ik toch eerdere voor combinatie-producten. Ook dit flesje bevat 60ml. De full size zit in een fles van 200ml en kost 10 euro. Een prima prijs voor zo'n hoeveelheid!
The toner comes in the same bottle as the facial wash, but this time it's a transparent water. It smells great and cleans as promised. My skin tingled a bit after using the toner. I like this, but I can imagine that not everyone can appreciate the tingly feeling. I suppose you could skip this product if you've got a very sensitive skin. I prefer combination-products, but this is a possible rebuy for me. This bottle contains 60ml. The full size comes in a 200ml bottle and costs 10 euro. A good price for such an amount!
Seaweed - Clarifying night treatment
Wat ik zo leuk vind aan kennismakingsproducten, zijn de schattige flesjes waar ze in zitten! Dit kleine flesje is de clarifying night treatment. Het is een licht nachtserum met een sebumregulerende technologie, die overtollig vet tegengaat en het vochtgehalte op peil brengt. Deze breng je na je avondreiniging op je gezicht aan. Ondanks enkele parabenen, zit dit flesje vol met allerlei soorten verzorgend zeewier en algen.
What I like about samples, are the cute bottles they come in. This small bottle is the clarifying night treatment. It's a light night serum with a sebumregulating technology, that counters excess oil and regulates the moisture balance. You apply this on your face after your cleaning in the evening. There are parabens in it, but there are a lot of nourishing seaweed and algae in it as well.
Het nachtserum zit in een handig pompflesje. Hier ben ik een enorme fan van: gemakkelijk en hygiënisch! Het product zelf is een transparant en licht stroperig goedje. Maar goed dat dit een nachtserum is, want hij voelt na het aanbrengen vrij plakkerig aan. Wel is hij tegelijk ook erg verfrissend, waardoor je je toch volledig schoon en verzorgd voelt. Naast het plakkerige gedeelte, ben ik in ieder geval een fan omdat hij erg goed werk qua matteren en hydrateren. Deze staat dus op het mijn kopen-wanneer-de-rest-leeg-is-lijstje :) Dit flesje bevat 15ml. De full size variant bevat 30ml en kost 19 euro. Niet heel erg goedkoop, maar zeker het geld waard.
The night serum comes in a handy pump bottle. I really like this: easy and hygienic! The product itself is a transparent and light syrupy liquid. Luckily it's a night serum, because it feels somewhat sticky after applying it. At the same time it's refreshing, so you feel clean and hydrated. Besides the sticky part, I'm a fan because it works great concerning the mattifying and hydrating. This one is on my to-buy-when-everything-else-is-empty-list :) This is a 15ml bottle while the full size bottle of 30ml costs 19 euro. No very cheap, but certainly worth the money.
Seaweed - Mattifying day cream
Het laatste productje is de mattifying day cream. Dit is een vetvrije en snel absorberende dagcrème die matteert, overtollig vet reguleert en het vochtgehalte op peil brengt. Deze breng je elke ochtend na het reinigen op je gelaat aan. Hij bevat ongeveer dezelfde ingrediënten als het nachtserum: jammer genoeg enkele parabenen, maar veel verzorgende bestanddelen.
The last product is the mattifying day cream. This is an oil-free en quickly absorbing day cream that mattifies, regulates excess oil and balances the moisture in the skin. You apply this every morning after cleaning. It contains the same ingredients as the night serum: some parabens, but also a lot of good ingredients.
De dagcrème is een troebel goedje in een potje. Ik zou het eerder een soort gelcrème noemen, omwille van de textuur. Over die textuur ben ik trouwens erg tevreden, net zoals over de heerlijke geur! Dit is ongetwijfeld mijn favoriete product uit deze set. Hij brengt gemakkelijk aan en hij wordt inderdaad supersnel geabsorbeerd. Bovendien zorgt hij voor een goede mattering, zonder mijn huid uit te drogen. Veel matterende crèmes zorgen bij mij voor een uitgedroogd (en soms zelfs schilferend ) huidje, maar deze dus zeker niet. Integendeel, mijn huid voelt enorm gehydrateerd en zacht aan. Zodra dit potje leeg is, ga ik meteen een nieuwe halen! Dit potje bevat 15ml. De full size bevat 50ml en kost 17 euro. Ik vind dit een prima prijs!
The day cream is a cloudy substance in a jar. I'd call it a gel cream because of the texture. I'm pleased with the texture and the delicious smell! This is my favourite product in this kit. It applies easily and absorbs very quickly. On top it mattifies very good without drying out my skin. A lot of mattifyinh creams can result in dry (or even flakey) skin, but this one doesn't. My skin feels very hydrated and soft. As soon as this jar is empty, I'm going to buy a new one! This jar contains 15ml. The full size contains 50ml en costs 17 euro. A fine price!
Totaalbeoordeling / Conclusion
Deze set heeft me zeker kunnen overtuigen van de producten uit de Seaweed collectie. Mijn huid is aanzienlijk zachter, matter en tegelijk ook beter gehydrateerd. Bovendien bevat dit setje genoeg product voor mij om er gemakkelijk enkele weken mee door te komen. De setjes van The Body Shop zijn dus zeker in orde qua prijs-kwaliteit-kwantiteit: goede producten voor een aanvaardbare prijs en je krijgt een goede hoeveelheid om het grondig te testen. Ik ga in de toekomst dus zeker nog setjes uittesten en ook enkele Seaweed producten aan mijn stash toevoegen ;)
The set really convinced me of the Seaweed products. My skin is softer, matter and better hydrated. On top there's enough product in this set to last me a few weeks. These kits are great concerning price-quality-quantity: good products for a fine price and you get enough product to test them. I'm definatly going to try more sets and add a few Seaweed products to my stash ;)
